Bark n Purr is a locally owned pet store started by Idaho natives Heather and Bob Rapoza. From our love of our nine “fur-babies”, Scooter, Eddie, Oscar, Leo, Victoria, Chloe, Ciete, Abigail and BB Kitty, grew a desire to learn more about providing the best for our companions (Come into the store and see their pictures!)

We want to offer our customers a fun place to bring your pets and check out the latest and greatest in toys, treats, food and accessories.  At Bark n Purr we offer great products at reasonable prices with friendly and knowledgeable service at our convenient location in Boise’s East end to save you time and money.

Many people have heard about the food recalls, both in the pet and human food industry. We have made it our mission to learn the ins and outs of pet food and premium nutrition, human-grade ingredients, rotation feeding, and raw diets. We will never carry a brand that has been recalled! And, nutritional research suggests both dogs and cats are healthier and happier when feed biologically appropriate diets

We also want our products to be worry-free for our customers. This means we go to great lengths to source American made toys.  Our philosophy is more than just not buying cheaply made, potentially contaminated goods. It’s also about supporting our country’s economy by purchasing from companies that employ a local workforce and emphasize American craftsmanship.

 

Years and years of living with felines has taught us the importance of good nutrition for your pets. Many of the health issues for pets may be attributed to poor diet. Diseases such as food allergies, cancer, diabetes, and skin disorders may be caused by poor nutrition. An analysis of many pet food manufacturers who claim they have healthy food reveals that they are heavily grain based and highly processed with many questionable additives.  At Bark n Purr we strive to offer the absolute best organic and all-natural foods.
